Traditional Birth & Postpartum Offerings

~ Closing of the Bones Ceremony ~

Rooted in the traditions of Mexican midwives, the Cerrada or “Closing of the Bones” is a sacred ceremony offered around the 40th day postpartum, honoring the completion of the fourth trimester.

It is also a healing ritual for mothers who have experienced loss, abortion, or any life passage that calls for closure and renewal.

What to expect:

Your in-home ritual (approx. 3 hours) includes:

Womb Massage ~ warming oils and gentle abdominal massage
Manteada (Rebozo Body Rocking) ~ rhythmic movements to release tension and realign the body
Closing Ceremony with Rebozos ~ gentle wrapping from crown to toe, sealing and restoring the mother’s energetic and physical space

~ Placenta Planting Ceremony~

A sacred ritual honoring the placenta as the baby’s first companion. This ceremony supports grounding, gratitude, and closure, returning this powerful organ back to the Earth with intention and prayer.
